Special Appeal:
Sponsor a Child in Amman and Baghdad
On 5th November 2011 we launched a Special Appeal to sponsor the education of 14 Iraqi children in Amman, Jordan and 10 children in Baghdad, Iraq.
We work very closely with members of the clergy in Amman and Jordan, who distribute the financial aid to the students, or pay their school fees (depending on the student's circumstances). The clergy also provide us with comprehensive and valuable feedback on the students' academic progress and general wellbeing.
ICIN currently provides financial support for the education of children in Amman and Baghdad from its general donations funds. In addition, some students are currently supported by individual sponsorships from our very generous community.
The clergy both in Amman and Baghdad have identified 10 children that are in hardship and desperately need our help and financial support to allow them to continue their education.
Our limited general donation funds are stretched to the limit, with all funds already allocated to the many projects we support. We do not wish to turn down the request to support the extra 24 students and as such, we are launching this Special Appeal. We seek your support to individually sponsor the continued education of our young people. Your help will make a real and significant difference in their life.

The donations made will enable these students to be educated for a full academic year in the regular school subjects, which include Arabic and mathematics. The annual school fees are set by the school according to the student's acamedic year.
Amman, Jordan
14 Iraqi Christians, students studying in Amman, all need our help to be able to continue their education. Their parents cannot work by law. The UNHCR provides them with a monthly allowance, which is barely enough to pay the rent and what remains is not enough for their sustenance. This is why charities have to help with food parcels and school fees.
