His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales makes another donation for the Needy Christians of Iraq

HRH The Prince of Wales has made another generous donation to the refugees of Northern Iraq, channelled this time through Iraqi Christians in Need, and has requested that funds be distributed as quickly as possible in order to alleviate the suffering and depravation at this traditional time of goodwill to all.

The funds will be distributed through the local churches to the outlying villages of Northern Iraq where little aid has been given so far.  Children are also particularly to be remembered at this time of celebration of Christ’s birth.

Following his recent visits to the Holy Family Catholic Church in Acton and St Thomas’s Cathedral, the Syriac Orthodox Church in East Acton, His Royal Highness reaffirmed his support for the persecuted Christian and other minorities of Iraq and Syria and ended his visit to St Thomas’s with the words of St Paul: “We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed".
