Computer Centre, Damascus

(Syria)

Project details:

The course consist of 40 hours within 5 weeks and the schedule divided shifts morning from (10:00 - 12:00 AM) and other shift in the evening from (4:00 - 6:00 PM).

1. The name of the teachers and manger:

2. The program of the course content:
• Basic information technology: 4 hours
• Windows : 8 hours
• Word : 14 hours
• Excel : 14 hours
• PowerPoint : 4 hours
• Internet : 4 hours
 

3. The numbers of the student who register in the centre are (89) till now. There are tow groups, each one attend (20) students. The duration of the course was 6 weeks.

The members of this centre wish you Happy Easter and Happy Life. We asked the Lord to bless your charity for what you are doing to help the Iraqi refuges.

نكتب لكم عن دورة اللغة الانكليزية  في صيدنايا التي نالت دعمكم .  انتهت الدورة بتاريخ 23/6/2009 ،وقد سجل في الدورة  ما يقارب مئة شخص من طوائف متعددة ( الكلدان،السريان الكاثوليك ،الاشوريين ،السريان الارثدوكس، والارمن ) من العراقيين  الموجودين في صيدنايا ، وقد خضعوا للامتحان النهائي من قبل المدرسين   وتم من خلال هذا الامتحان  تقيم الاوائل  . و خلال حفل اقمناه بتاريخ 28/6/2009 في حدائق بقرب دير الشيروبيم وقد بدائنا احتفالنا بصلاة و دعاء شاكرين لكم بكل ما قدمتموه لنا وكان يوم جميل وقد تم تكريم الاوائل     كانت استجابة الطلبة للدورات جيدة جدا و تبيِّن هذا من خلال الحضور الملتزم والجدية في التعلم على الرغم من وجود بعض الصعوبات المتعلقة بمستويات الطلبة .   اصبحت هذه الدورة فرصة للقاء كل عوائل العراقية وكذلك اقمنا المحاضرات الثقافية والدينية  في كنيسة صيدنايا بالنسبة للعراقين ، حيث اصبحنا الجماعة واحدة رغم تعدد الطوائف في صيدنايا.   ولكم الشكر والتقدير والرب يبارك مسعاكم الخيّر.   اخوكم / انور ســـــاكو 28/6/2009

Help the widow program

(Syria)

Ten widows and their families living in Damascus have been carefully selected to receive regular support from our charity. Families of 4-6 members receive USDollar 300/m, those with 2&3 members receive USDollar 200/m and a single widow receives USDollar 100/m.

These families have fled persecution from Islamic extremists in Iraq and were forced to leave their homes and livelihood behind and have no friends or relatives abroad that can support them.

Anybody interested in adopting a family can have full details of a family, including a telephone number through which they can contact the family they adopt and make sure that it is receiving its monthly allowances.

Father Hani and Shammas Laith Jajo are responsible for receiving and distributing the allowances to these decrepit families.

Project #2

The English Course in Saidnaya

(Syria)

We have started an English course in Saidnaya-Syria on the 12^th of June 2008 sponsored by your charity Iraqi Christians in Need. One hundred Iraqi of different denominations were enrolled in the course (Chaldeans, Syrian Orthodox and Catholics, Assyrians and Armenians). All applicants were tested in order to determine their knowledge of the English language.  The program of the British Council was followed and two levels were started, beginners and advanced. The course will last three months at the end of which an examination will determine their standard and capability to move to the next level.

Forty more students are on the waiting list for the next course and hope to be accommodated for the next course which is expected to start in September.

Father Hani and Anwar Sako, the coordinators of the course are very please with the response they have had from the Iraqis and the way it brought many of them from different denominations together in a spirit of ecumenism and friendship

نكتب لكم اخبار دورة اللغة الانكليزية  في صيدنايا التي نالت دعمكم .

البدايات.

          بدأت دورة اللغة الانكليزية بعد التحضيرات التي جرت لها وتجهيز كل الاغراض الازمة لانجاحها كما كان موضح في المشروع الذي قدم لحضراتكم .

 بدات الدورة بتاريخ 12 حزيران 2008 ،وقد سجل في الدورة  ما يقارب مئة شخص من طوائف متعددة ( الكلدان،السريان الكاثوليك ،الاشوريين ،السريان الارثدوكس، والارمن ) من العراقيين  الموجودين في صيدنايا ، وقد خضعو لامتحان من قبل المدرسين وتم من خلال هذا الاختبار تصنيف مستويات الطلبة بين مبتدئيين ومتقدمين ، وكان اقبال كبير من قبل الجماعة العراقية الموجودة في صيدنايا للتسجيل في الدورة والاستفادة منها، حيث سجلنا اربعون شخص على لائحة الاحتياط . وبعد بداية الدورة والاختبارت تبيّن وجود  فئة مستواها اقل من المبتدئيين مما جعلنا ان نستحدث صف  لهذه الفئة .

الاستجابة والتاثير.

كانت استجابة الطلبة للدورات جيدة جدا و تبيِّن هذا من خلال الحضور الملتزم والجدية في التعلم على الرغم من وجود بعض الصعوبات المتعلقة  بمستويات الطلبة .

اصبحت هذه الدورة مفتاح لجذب الناس الى الكنيسة  من خلال القداس الالهي وكذلك المحاضرات الثقافية والدينية التي تقام في كنيسة صيدنايا بالنسبة للعراقين ، حيث اصبحت الجماعة واحدة رغم تعدد الطوائف في صيدنايا.
