Christianity in Iraq V Seminar Day

PROGRAMME
The morning session will consist of a series of papers exploring the Syriac Bible and its legacy in Iraq. Papers include:
Dr. George Kiraz (Piscataway, USA)
The Syriac Bible from Ancient Codices to Electronic Verses.
Prof. Bas Ter Haar Romeny (Leiden)
The Interpretation of the Bible in the Syriac Tradition.
Dr. Istvan Perczel (Tübingen-Budapest)
Syriac Bible Manuscripts in India.
Mr. Mark Dickens (SOAS, London)
The Syriac Bible in Central Asia.

The afternoon session investigates the challenges encountered by Christianity in Iraq today. The current situation will be discussed
by representatives of the various Syriac Churches in Iraq [the Assyrians, Chaldaeans, Syrian Orthodox and Syrian Catholic].
