Baghdad 18th June 2008

In the dioceses of Baghdad more than 1,000 college students, celebrated WYD (World Youth Day) at a Church, with a Eucharistic procession and the solemn celebration of Mass. At the end of the events, the pilgrims launched messages of hope. A people too often “forgotten by the international community and by the West”.

 

This event coincided with the Pope Benedict XVI celebration in Sidney,  Australia. It included students from different parts of Baghdad attended by the Patriarch of the Chaldaeans and the clergy.
